Traveling across country & decided to try Lion's Choice next to my hotel. Wow! Great roast beef sandwich....REAL thin sliced roast beef. So good that I ended up getting a second one!! Definitely NOT Arby's. Wish they were national rather then just St. Louis area.

Imagine if Arby's produced food that is actually delicious. Lion's Choice does roast beef sandwiches and does them quite well. I've had their beef sandwich with and without cheddar, both options are tasty. I prefer without and just a dash of their horseradish sauce, which is available along with two types of bbq, a chipotle ranch, pickles, onions, and other peppers, all free of charge to dress your sandwich. I also find their fries to be excellent and have a great natural potato taste usually missing with fast food. Don't want fries? How about veggie sticks as a healthy option. To further distinguish themselves from other roast beef restaurants the meat is sliced fresh for each sandwich right in front of you. You won't get a sandwich that has been sitting under a lamp, it's all fresh. I only wish this was a larger chain than regional.

This place puts Arby's to shame. DELICIOUS roast beef, that actually looks and tastes like roast beef. The fries were decent, midpack at best. I was actually very disappointed with the size of my sandwich though, see the picture that I added. That was supposed to be their large size, and it was the size of about 4 ketchup packets. Their Blizzard like desserts, I think they were called a Concrete, was pretty good. The guy in the drive through line was friendly, and my order was accurate and fast. I wish this place was a national chain.

I used to work at Lion's Choice in my younger years. I know first hand what goes on behind the scenes, and in my experience this is the best Lion's Choice in the area. Lion's Choice slice their beef in varying thickness, depending on the store and its manager. The Elm Point Lion's Choice however, choice to go on the thinner slices. Also be sure to ask how well done the meat is, if your stomach can't handle a little pink meat, make sure to ask for it a little more done. Other things that make Lion's Choice fantastic - fries, seasoning salt, and the change purse ice cream cones. I'm almost afraid the seasoning salt has crack in it, people flock to it. Not a fan of the roast beef? Try a grilled cheese sandwich with seasoning salt. Delish. On a side note, c'mon people. I know you have you have your roast beef cravings, but don't come right before they close. The meat has been sitting in the warming oven since dinner rush ended, and it's not going to be as good. Sure, they could cut into that extra piece of meat they have - but that results in it being dry-er for the poor soul that comes and gets a sandwich as soon as they unlock the doors.
